We take the time to understand what you want from your loft, work closely with you on the design and guide you through every stage, from the first plans to the final sign-off.

Good conversions are planned carefully. By the time the first steel goes in, you’ll know what’s being built and what it costs.

Consultation and survey
We start by talking through your ideas and goals, then survey your loft to check the space, the head height and the roof structure.

A clear, detailed quote
Your quote covers every part of the project, including building control fees, so you know exactly what to expect from the outset.

Plans and approvals
Detailed plans, structural engineer’s calculations and private building control are arranged for you, along with planning permission if your project needs it.

Stage 02 of 06
Stair fitting
With the structure finished, we fit your new staircase so the loft is safe and easy to reach from the floor below.
Stage 03 of 06
Last-minute design
Once the stairs are in, you come up and see the space for yourself. Planning rooms and windows while standing in the loft is far easier than working from a drawing.
Stage 04 of 06
Plumbing & electrics
First-fix electrics and plumbing go in, and you can talk through ideas for your bathroom and main room with our electricians and plumbers.
Stage 05 of 06
Insulation & boarding
We insulate, plasterboard and build internal walls while our roofers and bricklayers work outside, keeping the time on site to a minimum.
Stage 06 of 06
Completion & sign-off
Plasterers, second-fix joiners, electricians and plumbers complete every detail on site, leaving you with a transformed home you’ll love for years to come.

Ask us a questionHow long does a loft conversion take?
Most take between 6 and 12 weeks, depending on the size, complexity and type of conversion. Larger projects such as mansard or hip to gable conversions can take longer because of the extra structural work.
What happens during the first stage of a loft conversion?
The first stage is the structural work, including steel fabrication and strengthening the loft floor. This creates a strong framework to safely support your new living space.
Do I need planning permission for a loft conversion?
Often not. Many loft conversions can go ahead under permitted development rights. Homes in conservation areas, listed buildings, and conversions that alter the roofline or exceed certain dimensions may need planning permission. We handle the regulatory side for you, including applications and liaising with the local authority.
How much disruption should I expect during construction?
We keep disruption to a minimum. Most of the work is contained within the loft, and we keep the site clean and safe. In most cases you can carry on living at home during the build.
What electrical and plumbing work is included?
Loft conversions often include first-fix electrics and plumbing for lighting, sockets, radiators and bathrooms or en-suites. Final fittings are completed during the later stages of the project.
How is a loft conversion insulated?
High-performance insulation is installed in the roof, walls and floor to improve energy efficiency and keep the room comfortable all year round. It also helps to reduce noise transfer.
